ABOUT US + OUR BLOG

Hello! We Are So Glad You're Here...

Welcome to "Corfu Routes," our travel blog and guide promoting authentic Corfu island experiences. We are Nikolaos and Katerina, the proud owners and founders of "Corfu Vespa Tours and Rentals"!

We named our blog/ guide "Corfu Routes", inspired by our Vespa Routes and Corfiot Roots!
We could not think of a better name since we are well known among our beloved Vespa Travellers community for our ability and skill to include different experiences in a single-route - itinerary.

We aim to keep our posts short but as informative and accurate as possible. We know there are so many travel blogs and guides, and it can be overwhelming sometimes to find the correct information lost in advertisements and repetition of descriptions!

If you have the time and the willingness to learn more about our blog and us, please keep reading!

Our blog content complements and enhances our customized map content, which features four (4) pre-programmed routes to follow, among other tips. We are committed and do our best to achieve this goal (of offering a complete experience in an effortless, hassle-free manner as we do with our custom-made map) in each blog post we create! We include links for each location - and attraction and authentic pictures of each attraction and product!

So far, we have realized that owning and maintaining a blog requires much time. Developing our content for each post takes us about 7 to 15 hours. Plus, the extra time is spent updating and improving the published content! Our content is based on extensive research, personal experience of the island, and our beloved Vespa Travellers' feedback.

We create original - authentic (non-AI) content based on the questions we typically receive from our beloved Vespa travellers and from things that we believe a traveller to Greece, especially Corfu, will find helpful in making the most out of one's holiday time!

We understand your time's value. If time is limited, we recommend exploring the following key posts: 'Must-Do Activities for an Unforgettable Corfu Holiday,' 'Things to Do in Corfu with Kids,' 'What to Eat in Greece,' 'What to Eat in Corfu,' 'What to Drink in Corfu,' and 'Corfu Signature Products.' Taking a moment to discover the experiences and activities mentioned in these posts will ensure you make the most of your holiday time!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our welcome letter.

Are you ready to join us on this journey? Let's create your authentic Corfiot experience together!

Kindest regards,

Katerina & Niko

PS. Local businesses mentioned in our posts are not sponsored. We receive no rewards from them. Sponsored content, if any, will be noted clearly.

Add- on to our welcome letter!

Please read on if you want to learn more about us!

When choosing bloggers to trust, it's important to know their background. That's why we want to share more about ourselves so you can better understand where your holiday information is coming from.

Our experiences shape our perceptions and ideas, and we want to share our personal experiences in Corfu with you and show you Corfu as we were going to do with a dear friend of ours. And that's what we already do with our beloved Vespa travellers. One of the main reasons we have created our blog is that multiple times, some of our beloved Vespa travellers with IT studies - backgrounds praised our map content and the work done there and advised us to create a blog. After repeatedly receiving the same feedback, we decided to take the plunge, and here we are!

Both of us were born and raised in Corfu. I studied Business in Tourism and worked for over 14 years in the hotel industry's food and beverage departments. Before that, I worked as a waitress, dishwasher, and cook at my parents' taverna for over a decade. On the other hand, Niko worked as a welding technician for nine years for ZWP-TÜV-SÜD Austria after finishing his studies in Vienna. In December 2017, we began our Vespa journey.

I've been driving a car in Corfu for over 18 years, but during the summer season, I now ride Vespas (125-300cc). Niko rides a van, Vespas, an enduro bike, and a bicycle around Corfu. We love walking on picturesque Corfu trails and indulging in local and Greek cuisine. Our bookcase at home is filled with almost every book about Corfiot's regional cuisine, history, and culture. I love practising yoga, and Niko has been enjoying riding his bicycle more than his Enduro bike lately. Our home is also shared with three dogs we've adopted from the streets and nine ex-stray cats we feed daily.

We hope that by sharing these details, you'll have a better understanding of who we are and where your holiday information is coming from.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. As an ex-perfectionist, it's always tough for me to hit the "Publish" button, so thank you so much!

Respectfully yours,
Katerina
